generative design bench

This project merges user-centred design and domestic furniture through innovative generative design methods. The process uses algorithms to explore structurally stable organic geometries. Production is optimized for FDM 3D printing, with components limited to a 325x325x320 mm volume. The smart engineering features a simple three-part assembly, designed to serve as kitchen seating when assembled and as children's seating when disassembled. Finally, it uses technology to improve daily life and an organic approach to appeal to children. Designed for Inovart 3d collab between Maria Meireles and CMEMS.
